      Garrett County Board of Education voted on February 2, 2021, to accept the Superintendent’s plan for the return to in-person learning. February 22: Employees return to buildings. March 1: PK, K, Gr 1, and identified students return full days on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays. Wednesday is an asynchronous day. March 15: Grades 2-12 return full days on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays. Wednesday is an asynchronous day.

      There have been 1,824 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Garrett County. Current metrics from the Garrett County Health Department are: 7-Day Positivity Percentage: 3.42%; 7-Day Case Rate Per 100,000: 9.36.

      Board of Education Pre-Legislative Meeting - December 7, 2020

      The Garrett County Board of Education members, the Superintendent, and selected GCPS administrative staff will meet with Western Maryland delegates on Monday, December 7, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. to discuss their 2021 legislative session core values and priorities. The meeting will be held virtually due to coronavirus-related restrictions on public meetings and large gatherings and is closed to the public.
